Dan the Music Man (children’s performer)

Kids in the Village Heritage Games and Craft Program
Venue: Pickering Museum Village
Time: 10 to noon

Spend the morning playing heritage games and make a special craft during the Kids in the Village Heritage Games and Craft Program held every Thursday in July and August. Program is suitable for children up to age 12. This week, the craft is making cotton ball sheep.

Truck Day
Venue: Ajax Library - Village Branch
Time: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Check out the cool trucks from the Ajax's Fire and Operations & Environmental Services departments. Come one down, check them out up close, ask questions and enjoy free Blizzard samples from the local Dairy Queen. www.townofajax.com

Movie in the Park - The Tooth Fairy

Oshawa International Festival
Venue: Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens, 155 Arena St.

Family Fishing Day
Venue: Darlington Provincial Park, Bowmanville

Bring you family down and join the park naturalists for some catch and release fishing. They provide the bait and tackle - you provide the family.

Children's Yoga
Venue: Mom & Baby Depot, 207 Dundas, Whitby
Time: 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Through stories, music and games children engage in re enacting wisdom tales with their body. This class introduces Hatha yoga poses and breathing exercises to help children develop a sense of body awareness that promotes strength and coordination, helps reduce stress and increases concentration. Each class is 45 minutes and includes a small crafty activity related to the theme of the day. www.momandbabydepot.ca

Lil' Friends Childcare Centre 10th year Celebration
Venue: Lil' Friends Childcare Centre (in back), 7 - 570 Westney Rd. S.
Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Celebrate 10 fine years of childcare with carnival games, a clown, face painting, barbecue, pizza, and prizes. Tours of the centre are available and free registration for families who register on Saturday. Rain or shine!

SUNDAY, JULY 11

York-Durham Teddy Bear Train
Venue: Uxbridge Station
Time: 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

All aboard the Teddy Bear Limited trains. Bring your teddy bear along to get "checked out" by Dr. Bear to make sure
teddy can still provide lots of hugs and cuddles. The train event also features features Giggles the Clown with free face painting and balloon animals. Children who bring along their teddy
bear will enjoy a complimentary ride, when accompanied by an adult (maximum two children per adult). Trains depart Uxbridge Station at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. There will also be a departure from Stouffville at noon. Plenty of seats for everyone, no reservations are required. www.ydhr.on.ca
