BOLD Red Tent

Elizabeth House is hosting a special BOLD Red Tent gathering as part of a global BOLD movement using the arts to inspire a mother-centered birthing culture, Saturday, Sept. 12, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Bridgeland Riverside Community Association Hall, 917 Centre Ave. NE. parenting young women. The BOLD Red Tent is a safe space where women of all ages (and babies less than crawling stage) gather to share their birth stories and act to advocate for mother-friendly maternity care in our community. The BOLD Red Tents will be facilitated by members of the Calgary Childbirth Education Association. Participants must pre-register. Minimum $10 donation to participate. Outside the BOLD red tent will be a Community Fair featuring organizations currently serving Calgary's birthing women and their families.

Fall sale

Twins, Triplets and More Association of Calgary's Fall Sale is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Bowness Community Centre, 7904 43 Ave. NW. Pick up quality kid's used clothing, equipment and toys. Admission is $1. Please bring your own box or bag to shop.

Roller skating night

Bust out your scrunchies, neon colors and crimped hair as GIRLTALK is heading back in time to host Ladies 80s Roller Skating Night, Sept. 15, 7:30 to 9 p.m. The entire rink is rented and this a fun chance to cut loose and roller skate your heart out. Cost to skate is $16.50 and includes all taxes and your skate rental. Halloween Spooktacular
