Dr. William Sears and Martha Sears, RN, and Lysa Parker of Attachment Parenting International, will be discussing Attachment Parenting for Life: Toddlers, Teens and Beyond - Learn how to be your child’s best advocate and stay connected through the teen years and beyond, Sept. 17, 6:30 p.m., University of Calgary Science theatre (ST148). Backyardigans are coming to town

Get set, gather the kids and book your tickets to The Backyardigans: Sea Deep In Adventure, with three shows in Edmonton, Sept. 19, Northern Alberta Jubilee; two shows in Calgary, Sept. 22, Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium; and one show in Banff, Sept. 26, The Banff Centre. Roller skating night

Bust out your scrunchies, neon colors and crimped hair as GIRLTALK is heading back in time to host Ladies 80s Roller Skating Night, Sept. 15, 7:30 to 9 p.m. The entire rink is rented and this a fun chance to cut loose and roller skate your heart out. Cost to skate is $16.50 and includes all taxes and your skate rental. GIRLTALK is a group in Calgary that plans events for ladies to get out of the house, try something new and connect with new friends! New faces are always welcome.
