Balancing work and family is a challenge in itself but two successful Calgary moms in the media are doing it all while being in the spotlight too! Christmas festival and market
Enjoy an all-day shopping extravaganza in Nanton, Saturday, Nov. 28. Think cider stalls on historical streetscapes, Art and Antique shops open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and local musicians ringing in the season in true Western style. As a part of the festival, The Distinctly Nanton Christmas Market draws in a broad range of area entrepreneurs, artisans, craftspeople, and products in line with the community ranching culture. As fun for the little ones, a Christmas shopping venue for those on a mission, and a festive atmosphere for everybody else, Nanton Lights the Way is 40 minutes south of Calgary on HWY 2.

Festival of lights
It's the Lions Festival of Lights grand opening celebration, Saturday, Nov. 28, 5:30 p.m., at Confederation Park. Enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, ice sculptures, entertainment, fireworks and more. The festival of lights runs daily, 7 p.m. to midnight until Jan. 8.
Intro to babywearing workshops
Babes in Arms presents three upcoming babywearing workshops: Saturday, Nov. 28, noon, covering intro to babywearing for babies four months and up; Sunday, Nov. 29, noon, covering intro to babywearing for newborns; and Thursday, Dec. 3, 7 p.m., intro to babywearing.
