Storytime at the zoo
The Calgary Zoo presents a free storytime (included with admission), Thursday, May 7, 11 to 11:30 a.m., in the atrium of the Karsten Discovery Centre. The program promotes literacy and animal awareness and is suitable for children three to five years old.

GirlTalk walks
Get your body moving, enjoy some fresh air, and meet some fellow moms with the GirlTalk Walks six-week stroller series starting Monday, May 11 through to Wednesday, June 17. This event will run Monday, and Wednesday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. and will include a warm up, walk, fitness components (think lunges, and squats) and end with a cool down and some core work so please bring a yoga mat or towel to lay on for this. No need to find a babysitter as this meet up will be interactive and enjoyable for both you and your child! The cost for these 11 sessions (class is cancelled on May 18th for Victoria day) is $55 including tax. The group will be meeting at Confederation Park by the Rosemont Community Center parking lot: 2807 10 St. NW. Erin will e-mail you with an alternate indoor location if required due to weather. The Spring Trunk Shows shopping event is scheduled for Friday, May 22, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Cooper Memorial Hall (across from Rundle College), 7412 – 17 Ave. SW, Calgary.
