Dad and child day

Back to Banff Day

Sunday, June 21, 1 to 4 p.m., it’s Back to Banff Day take part in guided heritage tours, games and activities, catch up with friends new and old and join in celebrating the National Park Warden Service’s 100th anniversary. Event is free. Activities taking place throughout the Whyte Museum’s galleries as well as on the grounds.

Aboriginal Day

Drop by Heritage Park on Sunday, June 21, to celebrate Aboriginal Awareness with dances, food, artisans and more. Free pancake breakfast between 9:30 and 10 a.m.

Turner Valley grand opening

The Tourist Information Center in Turner Valley celebrates its grand opening, Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children’s activities, dancing, hayrides and more. Center is located beside the Flare & Derrick Community Centre.

Polish Festival

Enjoy the free Polish Festival, Saturday, June 20, noon to 5:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 1:30 to 6 p.m., Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2111 Uxbridge Dr. NW. Kids’ garden, authentic Polish food, dance, and more.

Family fun barbecue

GirlTalk presents a family fun barbecue Sunday, June 28, 3:30 p.m., Edworthy Park (site 4). Enjoy lots of family fun, including games, playing at the park, and more. Beef and vegetarian burgers along with cool non-alcoholic drinks will be served. Bring your favourite side dish, salad or dessert to share. There are some picnic tables on site, but if you are more comfortable in your favorite camp chair, bring it along. Cost is $15 for an individual or $35 for a family (which includes up to two adults, and up to four children under 12 years of age). Fall retreat just for you
