Check out Intro to Babywearing for Newborns on Sunday, July 26, 10:30 a.m. to noon at Babes in Arms (Mayfair Place 130, 6707 Elbow Drive SW). Perfect for parents who are expecting a baby or who have a baby under four months. There will be samples of each type available to try as well as a weighted doll for those parents who do not have their baby yet. Children are welcome. Intro to canoeing
GirlTalk presents introduction to canoeing, a women-only event on the Glenmore Reservoir offering canoe lessons and a chance to discover how peaceful gliding across the smooth water can be, Sunday, July 26, 1 to 4 p.m. The three-hour lesson will include orientation to the equipment, basic paddling skills, strokes, steering, basic water safety and plenty of time to practice.
