It covers the different types of carriers and slings and how to use each one, including back carries. There will be samples of each type available. Children are welcome. Babywearing for Newborns

Check out Intro to Babywearing for Newborns on Sunday, July 26, 10:30 a.m. to noon at Babes in Arms (Mayfair Place 130, 6707 Elbow Drive SW). Perfect for parents who are expecting a baby or who have a baby under four months. There will be samples of each type available to try as well as a weighted doll for those parents who do not have their baby yet. Children are welcome. Intro to canoeing

GirlTalk presents introduction to canoeing, a women-only event on the Glenmore Reservoir offering canoe lessons and a chance to discover how peaceful gliding across the smooth water can be, Sunday, July 26, 1 to 4 p.m. The three-hour lesson will include orientation to the equipment, basic paddling skills, strokes, steering, basic water safety and plenty of time to practice.
