If there was any remaining doubt that Port Moody has become a hip and happening ‘burb for new families in the Lower Mainland, that doubt has now officially been removed, especially since dandelion KIDS, one of our favourite urban stores, has opened the doors to their second store location in the vibrant Suter Brook community of Port Moody.

The new store vibe

Back in the winter of 2004, dandelion KIDS set up shop on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. Since then, it has become a destination for those seeking hip, unique products ranging from clothing, toys, accessories and more for babies and children. Owners Maria and Stefanie have sourced an impressive array of merchandise, which strikes the perfect balance between local favourites such as Baby Buddha and Redfish Clothing, and fresh, innovative, must-have products from around the world. Needless to say, when we heard that dandelion KIDS would be opening its second location in Port Moody, we couldn’t wait to check it out.

Why we want to shop

We love knowing we can go into a dandelion KIDS store and receive fabulous customer service in a fresh, friendly, and stylish setting. We also applaud the owners’ focus on carrying fair trade, organic, sustainable, and recyclable products that are a joy to use both practically and philosophically. Most of all, we love the selection of fun, unique items available at Dandelion Kids. From clothing and toys for big kids to baby gear and even decor items, the owners have a knack for sourcing the freshest baby and kid items that you will not see everywhere else. Just one example?
