Rockin’ Kids’ concert

Moss Street Community Market

Once again the Moss Street Community Market is set up for business. The market runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., every Saturday – rain or shine – until Oct. 31, at the Sir James Douglas school yard, the corner of Moss Street and Fairfield Road, Victoria.

Victoria Tartan Parade

Head out to downtown Victoria for the Victoria Tartan Parade, Saturday, May 9, which will feature local pipe bands, highland dancers, and heavy event athletes. The parade leaves Centennial Square (Victoria City Hall) at 11 a.m. and proceeds along Government Street to the Parliament Buildings lawns. Around 11:30 a.m., the pipe bands will march and play tunes, dancers will do a massed Highland Fling, and the caber will be tossed. A haggis-hurling demonstration will also be held.
