What's the vibe today . . .

Hip Baby all the way

Hip Baby has long been an institution in Vancouver’s trendy Kitsilano neighbourhood. While it has always been a great store where local parents and parents-to-be can go to outfit their new babes, a recent change in ownership has taken this store to a whole new level, one which highlights Hip Baby’s commitment to showcasing merchandise that is natural, organic, locally made, and hip.

The hip vibe

Hip Baby was recently purchased by Jen MacCormack and Michael Ziff, creators of Fig Kids organic clothing. When presented with the opportunity to combine their business with the retail operation of Hip Baby, they jumped at the chance to “revitalize the location and breathe new life into the Hip Baby brand,” they said. After undergoing a facelift, the new Hip Baby is now open for business.

Why we like it

Hip Baby is committed to showcasing locally made and eco-friendly products, including brands like Fig Kids, Minui, Think Baby and Nanoou organics. Walking into the store you will be greeted with a fun, uncluttered space and fabulous customer service. We appreciate the new owners’ continued mission of providing sustainable options without sacrificing practicality. At the core of Hip Baby’s business model is the philosophy that “sustainability, value and function are what make a hip baby, and we believe you can have all that with style,” and after visiting Hip Baby, we couldn’t agree more!

Where to find it

Hip Baby is located at 2110 West 4th Ave. in Vancouver, and is open for business seven days a week. Visit online at www.hipbaby.com for more information. Stay tuned for their online store.

**Special offer**

Special offer for Babyvibe readers: pop in to Hip Baby between April 1 and 7, mention this story, and save 15 per cent on your purchase! (Offer excludes sale items and cloth diapers.)
