Munch munch

Last year, we brought to you the scoop on an innovative hangout for little ones and parents. Babyeats was a hip place in North Vancouver, where parents could go, sip on a cup of coffee, eat a light snack, and chat with other parents, while the wee ones safely play. But now babyeats has grown up.

Munch Family Restaurant

Parents spoke, and babyeats listened. Today, babyeats is now Munch Family Restaurant. Part of the makeover includes brand new West Coast-inspired menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner by award-winning chef Mook Sutton (of West Vancouver’s Fraiche), cozy booth-style seating, a unique local organic wine and beer list from Renaissance Wines (liquor license to be coming later this week), and extended hours so that you can take the family down for dinner any night.

Why we like it

We recently were treated to an opportunity to try out the new dinner menu and were pleased with the delicious results. Our choices, the chicken curry and buffalo steak, were perfect and left us feeling satisfied. An espresso and chocolate carrot cake were a perfect way to wrap up our dinner. But the best part was not having to worry about our tots and we could slowly, calmly eat and enjoy our meal.

Nanny nights

This summer, consider a night out during Nanny Nights where parents can enjoy dinner outside on the spacious patio decked out with an edible garden either Friday or Saturday night while you have in-restaurant nanny care provided by Nannies on Call for children over the age of 18 months. Book in advance. Cost is $15 per child.

Be sure to drop by the new and improved Munch Family restaurant. Check out the changes – you’ll be pleasantly surprised. But wait, the best part is, they have waived the admission fees! Play is free - yippee!
