Celebrate bellies, birth and babies

If you are expecting, have a new baby, a toddler, or a large family, we recommend checking out a great free event that celebrates bellies, birth and babies on Saturday, April 10 in Vancouver.

BirthFest 2010

BirthFest is a home-grown festival organized by Vancouver Birth Lounge that showcases a well-rounded variety of exceptional services and products targeted for growing families. Everything you could possibly need is under one roof. This is the place to go to shop for wonderful locally handcrafted, natural and organic gear for you and your family. It's also the place to go to find out more about local services and community resources that are available for new and seasoned families.

Local service providers and community groups range from midwives, doula care and prenatal classes, photography, breastfeeding support, acupuncture, naturopathy, massage therapy, homeopathy and more.

Vendors include activewear for kids on the go by Milk Factory, bamboo baby products by Bamboobino, maternity and nursing accessories by Concept9, Saplings Sustainable Kids Decor, mamamaven, pre and postnatal fitness by Fit4Two, prenatal classes by Dancing Star Birth, perinatal and pediatric chiropractic care by Bonn Chiropractic, the well-known natural healthcare clinic Sage Clinic, yours truly babyvibe and kindervibe, and the list goes on.

Reasons to check it out

The BirthFest is a great free community event where you are surrounded by families and businesses with shared interests - the health and happiness of your clan! This is the place to go to learn more about your options during pregnancy and childbirth, to talk with experts about any questions you may have, enjoy mini-workshops throughout the day, and yes, you can even nurture yourself with a free chair massage.

Not only is the event filled with great ethical vendors and free chair massages, but it is also a fun destination that offers a festive and funky vibe and a chance to enjoy live entertainment by Zox of the Forest and other entertainers throughout the day.
