CURRENT EVENTS . . . Nutcracker Alberta Ballet presents The Nutcracker now until Monday, Dec. 22 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium for all the details, tickets, etc., visit online. Salsa Babies free trial class Dance your way back into shape with the best partner of all...your baby! With baby snuggled in a carrier new moms learn basic Latin dance steps to popular music in the Salsa Babies classes. Now you can check out this fun way to exercise with a free trial class, Friday, Dec. 19, 11:30 a.m., Trico Centre lower level studio 2 (no strollers please), 11150 Bonaventure Dr. SE (across from Southcentre Mall). Babies must be six weeks old to participate and moms need no experience, just come out to have fun and learn a new style of dance. Bring your mom friends for a fun indoor activity. Family skate night Come in out of the cold and join in for fun on the ice and then warm up with some hot chocolate by the fire during the family skate night Friday, Dec. 19, 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Village Square Leisure Centre. Bring your skates or Kids Sport Skate Shack will be available for free skate rentals. Jingle Bells Ball Urban Treehouse in Airdrie presents Jingle Bells Ball, Saturday, Dec. 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Decorate gingerbread cookies, enjoy face painting, make crafts, and have your photo taken with Santa between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are now on sale for $12 plus GST. Christmas in Kensington For the first three Saturdays in December enjoy Christmas in Kensington Village (Saturday, Dec. 13 and 20). The streets will be filled with elves handing out good cheer and candy canes, live music, and more. Show will support the Calgary Firefighters Association in aid of Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The event will feature great family entertainment and activities such as ice skating, movies on the main stage, storytelling, arts and crafts, ball hockey, roving entertainers, and a children's New Year's countdown and pyrotechnics show at 9 p.m. Great food vendors will also be on site to keep you energized for the evening's festivities. Bundle up and have fun wandering around the zoo, taking in the lights (more than a million of them), sipping on hot chocolate, and more. Zoo Lights run until Dec. 24. Once upon a Christmas Heritage Park presents Once Upon A Christmas, weekends until Dec. 21, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The old-fashioned Christmas experience runs Saturdays and Sunday. Happy fourth birthday to our sweet and loving little boy, Jackson - you are wonderful son and you keep us smiling. You have been awesome big brother to baby Camden.
