What's the vibe today . . .

Hip to wear a tee – part deux

Lucky for us, local companies creating funky tees seem to be sprouting up. Earlier this year, we wrote a vibe on a couple of hip companies. Now, we have the vibe on a few more great companies that pump out super cool threads for your little ones. Our love for unique tees and onesies continue to grow as we feel that they make an excellent present for any child and occasion.

Huddy Buddy

For all the cool kids in the ‘hood, there’s Huddy Buddy, an Ontario-based company that offers a line of casual apparel (mostly tees and onesies). Simply too cute for words, Huddy Buddy’s line up of hip threads are ethically made from quality 100 per cent cotton. Our favourites include the ‘I’m a girl’ and ‘I’m a boy’ onesies, which will really come in handy so strangers won’t comment on your cute ‘boy’ who is strategically dressed in pink, the potty trained tees so that your toddler can proudly boast his amazing new accomplishment, the fun ‘Aloha’ shirt for girls, and the ‘daddy’s girl’ shirt that’s perfect for a Father’s Day present. On a side note, bonus marks go to the adorable website, and that a percentage of each sale is donated to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

Simply Colors

Based in BC, Simply Colors is a European clothing line that offers personalized clothing for babies and children up to age eight. We were recently introduced to the company and have to say we are highly impressed with the quality of cotton and printing. After numerous washes, our t-shirt still looks brand new. We like the fact that Simply Colors offers a lot of variety when personalizing your tee shirt as you are able to choose from 13 different print fonts and more than 14 print colours. Adding a personal touch to t-shirts makes for a great birthday or baby shower present. Just for Father’s Day, Simply Colors has a special offer: a T-shirt, dress or polo shirt with Father’s Day print for only $10.95. But that’s not it, Babyvibe readers save 10 per cent when shopping with Simply Colors. To get started, visit the Babyvibe special discount page and enter the code ‘discount.’

Shirtseed

Vancouver mom and entrepreneur Amy offers bamboo and organic tees for moms and tots with Shirtseed. In addition to being eco-friendly, we truly love the super softness, quality and comfort of her line of tees. This year, Shirtseed offers a theme of ‘Celebration of Self-propelled Movement’ through a series of colourful vintage bikes and trikes that are screen printed on the shirts. Our favourites include the ‘Copper Vintage Trike’ for boys and the line up tees in the clearance section. Each shirt truly is a work of art.

The mini tee

Wrapping up our list of current favs, is the mini tee. Based in Ontario, the mini tee, sells affordable, trendy t-shirts and onesies for babies and toddlers. The line up features original and funny prints. Favourites include the sibling collection and the new personalized photo album for babies and toddlers.
