Sleepy time

It’s a no brainer that sleepsacks are great for helping your little bundle of joy sleep peacefully and safely through the night. After all, they have been dubbed the safe alternative to baby blankets. But here’s something special: we found a sleep sack that is not only good for your baby but it’s good for the environment.

What it is

Köhlr Baby (pronounced ‘cooler baby’) is the mastermind behind a selection of fleece sleepsacks and crib bedding. Now, the Vancouver-based company has produced a sleepsack that shares the great design and quality of the fleece ones, but it is made with a soft, natural hemp/cotton organic corduroy.

Why we like it

Here at Babyvibe, we are big promoters of anything that is good for you and the environment. Right away, Köhlr Baby’s new sleepsack scores top marks for that. Grown without pesticides, hemp is environmentally friendly and recyclable. That means the fabric doesn’t wear out and wears in so it gets softer and softer as it is washed. The strongest of the natural fibers, hemp is also non-allergenic, dries quickly and has anti-bacterial properties.

We are also partial to the adorable sleep sheepy appliqué that has little tags for legs – perfect for the baby or tot to play with as they drift away to sleepytime.

The hemp sleepsack is, in our opinon, perfect for any season, especially in summer. It’s light enough and highly breathable so it’s great to wear during hot summer nights. Sweet dreams for mommy and baby!
